My vision for Walker Developmental Services is to provide evidence-based, neurodiversity-affirming services that consider the whole child and the whole family. Support is developed around each child’s strengths, communication, sensory needs, relationships, environment, safety, autonomy, and quality of life, while also respecting the priorities, knowledge, and capacity of the family.

Experience, understanding, and a commitment to seeing the whole child

I have spent more than 15 years supporting children, youth, and families across recreation, early-years programs, schools, community settings, and Applied Behaviour Analysis services.

My practice is informed by both professional and lived experience. Together, these perspectives shape how I understand communication, regulation, sensory needs, participation, family life, and the barriers neurodivergent children and youth may encounter within systems that are not always designed to meet their needs.

Each stage of my professional journey has strengthened my belief that meaningful support begins with understanding the whole child. Children are influenced by their communication, relationships, health, sensory experiences, environment, interests, learning history, and the needs and realities of their family.

Walker Developmental Services was created from the belief that children and families deserve individualized, respectful, and practical support—especially when their needs are complex.

Individualized assessment and service planning
Honest discussion about scope, fit, and service limitations

I cannot promise that every service will be the right fit for every individual. I can promise that each inquiry will be approached with respect and that families will not be judged because their child’s needs are complex.
